Yay! My computer is fixed!
Hallelujah! I finally got my computer back. Now, I have to re-load all ther programs I had before. What a task. But, thank goodness I have back-up so I didn't lose any of my precious photographs. I just have to figure out where to put the new ones as the program I used before is no longer available for download. So, until I do, my pictures will just have to wait in my camera.

So, Here is Sailor Sam, Finally

Well, after all this time, I have finally finished Sailor Sam! I generally make my bears from light or bright colors and did not think I would have such a problem finishing his face. The black perle cotton I usually use for the nose and mouth became invisible in that curly mohair as did black shoe buttons. I tried brown shoe buttons, but they made poor Sam look like he was blind. So, now, you can see the whites of his eyes. (Just don't fire.)Wednesday, March 16, 2011
Forsythia and Sailor Sam
Some time tomorrow, I will be listing Forsythia in my Etsy shop.

Here is Forsythia, the little (9 inch) yellow bear you saw in progress.
Sailor Sam is a 12 inch navy Navy bear. He is waiting for his uniform, a middy collar and a sailor hat. I will be posting his pic in a couple of days.

2 Bears 2 Be
Well, here I am again. Forsythia, the little yellow bear I posted as a work in progress, is now complete. I will be taking pictures tomorrow as today was gloo0my with rain and thunder and almost as black as night -- no natural light.
I am also completing a 12 inch navy mohair sailor bear (as yet unnamed). He is waiting for his middy collar and his sailor hat.
I have finally gotten rid of that cough, the last vestige of whatever was going around. So I am newly energized and ready to birth more bears.

A Bear, a Bunny and a Work In Progress
I have been working on three bears/friends simultaneously while battling whatever is going around. The cough does you in, almost like a whoop.
Anyway, here are the fruits of my labor. (The little yellow bear is not quite finished.)
Watermelon is listed for sale in my Etsy shop. Here is the listing: www.etsy.com/listing/69378854/9-inch-mohair-teddy-bear-mama-said-if-i
