Well, after all this time, I have finally finished Sailor Sam! I generally make my bears from light or bright colors and did not think I would have such a problem finishing his face. The black perle cotton I usually use for the nose and mouth became invisible in that curly mohair as did black shoe buttons. I tried brown shoe buttons, but they made poor Sam look like he was blind. So, now, you can see the whites of his eyes. (Just don't fire.)
